Anyone have any experience with RBI?

I guess it depends on where you are, but the "league" in my area was a sham. In fact, it was not a true league at all. Maybe once a year the guy in charge would round of a group of kids and go play one small tournament. That was it. No practices. No regular reson. I just checked the website and it no longer lists a league here. Guess they finally figured out what was going on and got rid of him.

I hope I'm wrong, but I just get the feeling that to a large extent this is just a "feel good" program.

A great story about how the RBI program helped turned this man's life around. I believe this is what the MLB had in mind when starting the RBI program.
