Is there any specific rule that says how many innings a pitcher can throw. I have heard 10 in a week, but i have also heard 10 in a 72 hr span. please respond with your opinion

At what level? I assume high school. High school pitchers have no limits in our state. There needs to be some limits. Pitcher abuse is all too common at the high school level. College pitchers have no limits. Limits are only imposed in youth baseball in our area. If I remember right it is 6 innings per week. There is also a rule in our youth baseball that states if a pitcher pitches two or more innings in a game, he cannot pitch in the next game.
