Jack Havey has had quite a ride to this point the 6'4" LHP has been clocked as high as 87 on the Jugs gun at Team USA's 15 year old try-outs this June, and 84 on the Stalker (slow gun) at the IHSBCA Summer Tourney. Best of all! This kid is a pitcher, not a thrower (excellent curve and change). Tony Cogan (Former Highland Park, Stanford and MLB K.C. Royal LHP) has already contacted The Stanford Cardinal about this kid after seeing him throw a few times at The North Shore Baseball Academy.

This kid is an outstanding student as well. Rarely do you see a kid at this age, with this type of velocity have the ability to drop in a 3 and 1 curve. He is more impressive in his ability to be a pitcher, hitting spots and going off-speed when ever he wants. This is very rare in a kid that throws this hard at this young an age.
TT41,
Agree...great pitcher, but don't don't short-change him on his defense and hitting. May be one of the best defensive first basemen around, as well as a thoroughbred in the outfield.

Most impressive to me is the humility he shows win or loose and the respect he gives all his teammates, coaches and opposition. It has been an honor to have my son play alongside Jack.

Continued success to #12
That's for sure! This kid very humble in victory and respectful in defeat. He is very grounded for a young man this age. Jack is obviously the product of a very strong family. His older brother Matt is very driven; he has continued to work hard both in the classroom, and on the field. He now pitches for Northwestern.
