We will be publishing the all-district teams as part of our All-Area section. It usually comes out 2-3 weeks after the baseball state tournament.
I think it will eventually reach the point where every kid on every team makes All-district. MVP (RHP) and Co-pitchers of the Year??? Certainly a few to consider:

Underclassman from non-campus schools
Right-handed pitchers with left-handed moms
Left-handed pitchers with brothers that were right-handed
Switch-hitting cathers with one-armed dads (with or without booster club affiliation)
Most valuable 2B that wears pant legs up
Fasted pinch runner that can read signs

Bring on the awards! Cool

Yes, my three sons had a few....and it was silly back then too.

No dog-piling.

3 words PD and Robert S.~~ POLITICS, POLITICS, POLITICS!!!

BTW...tell me how a coach that's forced to resign for alleged alcohol reasons gets the coach of the year and he doesn't even finish out the year???[I've answered my own question...I referred to the 3 words above]

Roll Eyes
PD,
The seperation of Newcomer of the Year and Underclassman of the year started because of the JR & SR only situation at the Plano Schools back in the days that they didn't let Fr. or Soph's play on varsity. A certain coach felt it was unfair not to include Juniors and Seniors for this award. Others felt it was designed for the younger player and whammo you now have two awards. I too agree that ties should be voted on till broken. It ain't that hard. Politics are a part of every aspect of life. Get use to it.
