"We [parents, scouts, coaches and players] survived"

The Rays scout team "tryout"Saturday August 18 is now history.

100º temp, 150 candidates were evaluated, we finished a 12 hour day at 7 PM.

There were 12 major college coaches, 5 pro scouts and the quality of talent from Southern California was "outstanding".

Players paid no fee.

We now have a "great" inventory of candidates for the December - Australia trip.

As a Phoenix area resident, I'll offer this;

If the temperature tops at 100 degrees, everyone should wear undershirts, jackets and handwarmers. A high temperature like that can be dangerous if you aren't prepared. If there is moisture involved in a late afternoon thunderstorm, you have to be prepared for hypothermia. Smile

Seriously, sounds like a great day and lots of good exposure for the top athletes in so cal.
