Here are a few in no particular order.

Sam Carpenter (Mustangs): probably number 1 in wins in DFW area, started in like 1985, numerous state regional and ws titles all at the CM level. Probably some skins from St Marks days.

Linty Ingram (Tigers): numerous kiddie (14u and down) titles, Mickey Mantle title, Griffey title, 2 trips to Farmington (my personal fav)

Jack Sharp (Mustangs): several state and regional titles couple of trips to MMWS

Logan Stout (Patriots): a few kiddie titles, 2 MM titles, a CM regional participant. DBU NCCAA national title.

Cory Thorton (Frozen Ropes): several state and regional titles, 3 MM world series visits, a trip to Farmington and 2 or 3 undefeated BBI seasons, winningest active coach in BBI maybe? Several juco regionals.

Tommy Hernandez (Tigers): numerous kiddie titles, several state and regional titles, a trip to Farmington (my number 2)

Denny Dickson (Image): may not be coaching this summer? MM trip, 18u CABA title, several state titles and regional trips. Probably 2nd only to Carpenter in wins in DFW area.

Bruce Kirby (FW Cats): not a ton of skins but a solid coach with some state trips and a CM regional trip. Does a real good job on the west side.

any others with some skins on the wall?

Are we talking coaches or the heads of organizations?
I have been involved in summer ball in DFW since 1992 and I can tell you that there are some names missing from the list. I have had the opportunity to work with several and coach against several guys not mentioned. First, my partner, Danny Florence. He has been in the summer baseball business since 1991. He has been successful at the HS, JC, and summer ball at all age groups.

Other guys not mentioned who cannot be overlooked are Ken Guthrie, and even though he only coaches USA Juniors, Rusty Hill and Dave Acton.

All the men listed have a genuine interst in helping players improve, find a college to play at and play the game right.

I have worked for Cade, John Fuqua, Kermit Dow and Denny Dixon and I cannot leave these guys out even though they don't coach anymore these guys are first rate guys I respect.

Edit** I really need to add Jay Johnson too.

Frozen Ropes Take Bite Out Of Chillidogs
7/8/2010 3:40:16 PM

The Homeplate Chillidogs and Frozen Ropes Texas battled it out on Thursday. The Chillidogs scored the first run of the game in the second inning, when Carson Sowell (LF, Whitewater, GA, 2013) scored on a wild pitch. That would be the only run the Chillidogs would see the rest of the afternoon.

Frozen Ropes Texas struck for two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. Taking the lead at 2-1. In the sixth inning the Frozen Ropes would add on five runs on five hits. The Frozen Ropes would go on to take the game 7-1.

Brandon Gilson (LHP, Prosper, TX, 2013) went on to capture the win for the Frozen Ropes. Gilson pitched 4 1/3 innings. He did no surrender a run, while giving up four hits. Gilson struck out two and also walkd two. Jordan Lewis (LHP, East Ciweta, GA, 2013) claimed the loss for the Home Plate Chili Dogs. Lewis pitched two innings, giving up two runs, just one earned, on just one hit.

Taylor Neitch (C, Lovejoy, TX, 2013) went 2-2, with one run batted in for the Frozen Ropes. Garrett Christianson (C, McKinney, TX, 2013) went 1-1, with a double and two runs batted in.

Different pitching styles provide interesting duel
7/8/2010

Right hander Kyle Keatts (2013, Dwyer) was blowing smoke from the mound for the Prospects. He started the game and lasted five innings, allowing just two hits and two runs (one earned). He struck out eight batters and walked three in typical power pitcher fashion.

Corey Scheibner threw a complete game for the Frozen Ropes of Texas in an exact opposite pitching style. Scheibner, (2013, Allen) a right hander, pitched to contact and relied on his defense to get the job done in the win. Scheibner didn't bring Keatts' heat, and he allowed ten hits, but he proved to be more effective over the course of the game. Scheibner had 11 ground ball outs and rarely had to pitch out of a jam in his gem over the Prospects

Jake Laster, 2010 15U BCS Home Run Champion

On Friday night, the players from the 2010 15U BCS Finals met at the Boston Red Sox City of the Palms Stadium for what would be an exciting night. Twenty young stars joined in the home run derby competition, all battling for some bragging rights. In the first round of competition, we witnessed four players go yard. Those players were; the Dulin Dodgers, Blake Hennessey, Frozen Ropes Texas's Jake Laster, South Carolina Shockwave's Brody Gibson, and the All American Prospects, Austin Green.

In the final round, in would be Jake Laster that would take the crown, as he belted a bomb over the left field wall to become champion. Perfect Game would like to thank everyone for their support at the event, and once again congratulate Jake on his title.
