Congrats to the Sliders! They played great this week especially short-handed. Garza was particularly impressive.
It was a really good tournament. My boy ended up 11 for 17 (.647) with 7 singles, 3 doubles and 1 HR (the hard way...inside the park). We had a great time in Joplin. Leaving early in the morning to head home to Houston.

STIX beat A's Burum 14-13 in a wild finish. The STIX boys were asleep most of the game until finally scoring some runs in the bottom of the 6th and then winning in the bottom of the 7th on the squeeze play. Give the A's pitchers some credit, they did what they had to do to get outs up till that point. I think both teams had used up all of their pitching. Great time had by all in Joplin. Field of Dreams field in Baxter Springs, Kansas was a neat field to play on to end our weekend.
