I have a son, 17 yr old rising Sr. Playing however for a 18U team with mostly committed kids. He is playing in tournaments all summer, WWBA 18U, college tourneys etc.
My question: will he get the necessary exposure being on a team of committed players?
The level of play has not been a problem which is a plus, but I am a bit concerned that he may not be seen by some schools that would see him if on a 17U team. He has quite a bit of interest since Sept 08 and we want that to continue.

My son, who is now in college, had a few uncommitted teammates play on his 18U team last summer. There were not the large numbers of college coaches at their games that we saw the year before, but there were some, and his teammates all eventually found a place to play.

I would recommend that your son contact the recruiting coordinators and head coaches of the 15-20 colleges that he is most interested in and send them his summer schedule, baseball resume, list of references and phone numbers, etc. Make sure he targets all levels of college programs.

Best wishes to him as he begins showcasing his skills!
