Looking for a few arms and position players this weekend for a 18U team. Preferably someone who is committed to a school if not someone who has a plus FB and 2nd pitch. We currently have a few players committed to programs for next season but could as some more since some of our boys have prior engagements.

Sorry to hijack your thread, Alex, though maybe I'm helping by bumping it up, but....
I continue to be astounded by families who spend thousands of dollars -- in some cases tens of thousands -- traveling to baseball tournaments after their kids have committed. If a family has lots of bucks and that's what they like to do, sure, why not. But in some cases these are folks living paycheck to paycheck like too much of America.
I understand that committed players need to play against good competition to stay sharp, and that there are other considerations for likely draft choices and some others, but heck, it's crazy how frequently some committed players we know travel. You'd think there are some pretty good games to be found closer to home.
No worries definitly not the way the post sounded. We do have great caliber players even though the aint commited to any event. I dont like having to travel much but this was more intended for people withing striking distance from our place. But you do have some valid points i always find gems posting here so its pretty cool to be able to help a kid out with my word.
Hey Alex,
You might want to try throwing up a post on the bulletin board here:

Lots of locals check here often for opportunities.....Just a thought?
Definitely not suggesting in the least anything negative regarding with your post or program, Alex, just making a general observation on one aspect of travel ball.
