Best wishes to all players entering college... and congratulations!

Ironic that you say this. My daughter just left to go lift and run with her college strength and conditioning coach. She has done so 5 days a week for the past month and a half. She contacted every new freshman in our area and told them her workout schedule and suggested that they needed to be doing these workouts or they are going to be so sore when fall training starts. So, today she was putting her shoes on and doing the morning complaint about how sore she is when she stops looks up at me and say how disappointed she is that she is the only player taking advantage of the strength and conditioning coach. Then she said, "they don't have any idea how hard this is going to be and how sore they are going to be."

Great post everyone! Sometimes as parents we are overly concerned about our kids - this is normal. There is some level of trust that we need to have with them that they will make good decision and that we have raised them right.

We will have our third and last child off to college in Sept. and playing D1 ball. I told him he will need to be in the best shape of his life and remember the real reason he is there. He has been working his tail off everyday. I have no doubt he will succeed. A very driven guy, and it seems like the bigger the challenge the better he responds. He will be at a great school and baseball program, which will prepare him for life. That's all I can ask for...
