I just wanted to let everyone know about my wonderful experiance with Frozen Ropes in Mckinney. After an extended discussion and even seeing the program with my own two eyes.... Danny and Corey convinced me to try their "Velocity Class" out.

I sent two of my pitchers to Frozen Ropes early November that had been gunned at 81mph ALL fall prior too. They also got gunned that first day at Frozen Ropes at 81mph.

After 6 weeks of attending Frozen Ropes, "Velocity Class".....I am amazed to state that both pitchers are averaging 86mph now. With one topping at 89 and the other topping at 87.

There are no if, ands, or buts..... I would recommend any player that wants to improve their game to make a stop at Frozen Ropes Mckinney.

No one...... not even the all mighty Ken Guthrie can argue with facts.

*FACT*

2 Pitchers (one righty and one lefty), not just one test dummy, went from 81mph to 86mph in 6 weeks with this program.

They were both around 81mph all fall. They would top out around 83, but in our fall games.... they would be right around 81mph. Also, neither one touched above 84mph on my gun this fall.

Currently they are averaging 86mph now after 6 weeks of the Velocity class.

*FACT*

I am interested to see how they fair in the season... if they maintain the jump and also how their arms react to the speed change.

With the outstanding results from this program, it is natural for people to not believe it.

Spikes, I thought the weighted balls thread you started back in September was one of the more interesting topics on here over the past year. Who Has Tried Weighted Baseballs?

Given the results of your two college pitchers after taking the Velocity Class @ Frozen Ropes....are you still skeptical about using weighted balls?

Oh geez.

Now Fuqua is involved in the magic show.

What's next? If you swing a limb from a cherry tree you can hit the ball like the Sultan of Swat?
I was very skeptical of weighted baseballs in the past. Danny and Corey convinced me to give it a try with some of my pitchers and the results were amazing. So..... Yes, I am a believer of weighted baseballs.

But the Frozen Ropes classes are WAY more than just throwing a few under/over weighted baseballs. Ive learned alot from those guys.

And for the argument of natural growth..... both players are 20 years old, one is around 5'10 and one is 6'0. I do not think natural growth has anything to do with the results.

These are "Example kids" for me.... not for Frozen ropes. They have proved their program works to many other players/parents/coaches with other "example kids".

All the arguments against weighted baseballs are not new to me. I thought the same thing that all the non-believers think. But I know alittle about the game and for 2 college aged pitchers (not high school... still growing) to gain 5mph in 6 weeks means that program works. PERIOD!!!
Ken, I would love to give you free tokens, except we dont do tokens. We are a training facility, not a batting cage. I will hook you up with a session on our computer swing analysis machine to see if we can put some more pop in your fungo swing or maybe get you a visual mechanics session on our probatter so you can bust the ump's chops with more frequency and accuracy. Smile

Back on topic. Our program has a proven track record of results. I have cited numerous medical and professional studies to support those results in another thread. It's not "magic" - it is a legitimate training program. Not the same old "you wanna hit better/hit more, you wanna throw harder/throw more" stuff that I have seen posted somewhere on this site before. Wink
FR,

Ok...ok, you have convinced me. I'm headed out to the local CCA to grab a couple of used bowling balls. Heck with this 8/9 mph increase, give 20.

I wonder if there may be a reverse effect? If so, Gage ain't playin' no **** wiffle ball or his ace will break my bank paying for the magic.

Then again, them soft throwing lefties have always given Dbat fits. Just how much does FR wanna bid on my boy? I wanna get paaaaaaiiiid.

Go big or go home regards,

That's good stuff Spikes! There is a guy on westside of DFW that has a great "velocity plus" pitcher training program well regarded like FRopes... guy used to be head of baseball operations at TCU...

About 4 years ago took a LHP topping out at 87/sitting at 84-85 and over about two months had him touching 94 (six of eight FB thrown in a bullpen after getting loose) was then sitting at 89/90... went from a guy that was going JUCO (as this was right before his senior year) to 3rd Round pick of Orioles....

Ever heard of Sean Henn? Was topping out at 87 in h.s. two years later as a Yankee DNF, was topping out at 99 and sitting at 94... signed a nice little bonus out of MCC....

Nope, not everyone can do it - but if it's in you (physiologically) a program like these will get it out of you...

Ken, we call it 'overall future potential...'

Can't get everyone to run a 4.4 ... but if it is in the athlete (physiologically) there are trainging regims to get it out of them...
