Rosters are finalized June 19th. That is our deadline. I would attend pro tryouts, try to get invited to USA Baseball, talk to MLB scouts and have them call us, or try to get into a high level event/showcase/tournament that is held before the deadline. If none of that can be done, send a complete resume to staff@perfectgame.org

We are looking for the top 38 players in the country... 19 from the East and 19 from the West. There are several MLB Scouting Directors we consult with. Somebody important to the process needs to see a player before we will invite him.

In the first 4 years... 1 out of every 4 Aflac All Americans has been drafted in the first round the following year. Others have signed for 1st round type money despite getting drafted later (Dellin Betances, Austin Jackson, Nick Adenhart, etc. Many have been 2nd round picks and others have become college stars and will be drafted early out of college. Almost every player has turned out to be a good choice. We believe the 2007 draft will have the most Aflac All Americans ever to go in the first round.

And yes, we have missed a few real good ones. We are selecting them a full year or more before the draft.
