Let it begin...

Results, predictions, frustrations, fullfillments, surprises, etc. If any person from Texas gets drafted, I'd hope to read about it.

I'd also like a number beside each new player listed (not their draft number, just the order they show up on the post, because it'll make counting them easier--it's not a must.

Draft starts on Thursday June 7. Televised on ESPN2, beginning at 2pm Eastern time. The televised portion will continue until 6pm Eastern and should include the first round plus the 34 supplemental (sandwich) picks. After that the draft will continue until about 8:30pm Eastern time on the internet. It will start all over again on Friday on the internet at 11am Eastern time and continue until they are done..
This is the brother-in-law of Dallas Baptist coach Dan Heefner and Tampa Bay Devil Rays shortstop Ben Zobrist:

Iowa City High shortstop Jon Gilmore became the highest drafted Iowa high school baseball player today, when he was picked No. 33 pick overall in Major League Baseball's annual amateur draft.

The Atlanta Braves selected Gilmore, who is projected as a third baseman.
