2008 18u tournaments: Which ones will provide the most exposure?

Professional scouts will look at you if you go to an MLB open tryout. But you gotta separate yourself from the rest of the group. Meaning mostly you need to excel.

You should definitely go to East Cobb, GA for PG's WWBA 18u tourney.

I have also heard good reports on CABA's 18u World Series.

PG's BCS (metal bat) tourney is not as big as the WWBA event but you can't lose with a PG event.

The two best tourneys in Illinois for scouts and recruiters have been Diamond Sports Promotions Fun in the Sun at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and the Top Collegiate Prospect Tourney at Illinois State University in Bloomington-Normal Illinois
Diamond Sports also goes to Univefrsity of Evansville this year..These tourneys are always well scouted by colleges and pro scouts

Great tourney located in Topeka, Kansas hosted by the Topeka Stars for 18u (been in exsistance for 31 years) The tourney is a wood bat tourney they give each team 3 bats and a wood fungo for each team. They supply balls, trophies, feed the coaches one day. They had more then 60 college and pro socuts there last year. They are using Kansas State University and Washburn Unvirsitys fields. It is a invite only July 2-6 But doesnt appear to be full yet. They have had teams from all over the country the last 2 years from Washington, colorado, texas. They have teams like Cherry Creek colorado coming in again. Check it out at http://www.topekastars.org

It looks like this one is full. There are 18 teams in it.

Not full yet if you look at the 08 tourney rules down at bottom where it shows who is coming it says 18 teams confirmed 2 open spots left they are taking 20 this year. I have been to this tourney and they really go out of there way to make it an enjoyable event worth everyones time.

Michigan USSSA Great Lakes Challenge June 20-22,2008. Played at The University of Michigan, Eastern Michigan University, Wayne State University, and Madonna University. 4GG, highly scouted every year. Usually 35 to 45 college scouts in attendance. Only 20 teams accepted. Teams have come from Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Tennessee, New York, Pennsylvania, and Canada. www.michusssa.com

Great Lakes Challenge in Michigan, Midlands in Cincy ( you'll need an invite from the director so you'll need to start on that one right now)Fun in Sun in So. Illinois and WWBA. Fun in Sun ends day before WWWBA 18's begin so be prepared to travel all night if you try to do both, Razorback Showcase in Evansville is another I thought was well attended by colleges

WWBA 18U Starts 7/1

USA Premier Baseball summer classic called the firecracker classic tournament is in it 14th year and is considered the best tournament in the summer in california... teams from all over the country play in it....

Other than the WWBA events who are the best - the Osceola Invitational in Kissimmee, FL is well-scouted every year. This year's dates are June 25-29.

For more information call 352-365-6130. This is a premier 18U event at Osceola County Stadium - home of the Houston Astros.

Which is the best out of these three?:

Ultimate Strike Zone (Mt. Pleasant, MI)

Buckeye Elite Showcase (Columbus, OH)

BCS Ohio Valley Regional (Cincinnati, OH)

All three are on the same weekend.
