2008 McKinney ISD Invitational

My predictions:

Championship game will be between the winner of the Wylie vs. McKinney HS game and the McKinney Boyd pool winner. McKinney North pool is the toughest and will cost no. 1 team, from that pool, valuable pitching. Winner will be the no. 1 from McKinney boyd pool.

kirk -- you don't see JP II versus TJ in the finale? Now that's offensive! And I think you are forgetting about the McK North weapons -- do you need a refresher?

McKinney North in the toughest pool? Sounds like a conspiracy to me. Bring it must have been in on the negotiations on who plays who. Or maybe Coach Price and Milam had something to do with it!! I know, they heard about all that great pitching depth we have, yeah, that's it!

Regarding TJ, I never said TJ wouldn't make it, you did. Regarding JP II that is just a prediction. Regarding North pool, that is not a shot at North, or Allen or Naaman or Frisco Cent. Just an observation of their pool and my opinion that they are in the tougest pool. No weak teams there, Everyobdy will have to roll out 1-3 in their rotation.

Best early round match-up:

1. Wylie vs. Mckinney HS- Feckley vs. Baker or lee

2. North vs. Allen- Lackie vs. ? and Nico (hitting) vs. Allen (pitching)

I don't know where you are coming from, everybody on this board knows 4A teams can't compete with the big boys in 5A. I know that is true, I read it on the High School Baseball Web last year. Should be a fight between Allen, West and Wylie.

You made a crack last week about our scrimmage schedule, hinting it wasn't too tough. So, feeling proud of shutting out Terrell and DeSoto are we?

Terrell has a couple of decent sticks, but their pitching leaves alot to be desired.

I wasn't cracking about the schedule. I was referring to the great pitching you guys have. I also don't recall mentioning anything about shutouts. You must have gotten that info somewhere else.

Congratulations to Plano West, they have a very solid ball club. I will say, with their on field behavior, they better get used to being thrown at. Not a traditional approach to old school on field behavior.

Understand that the West starter (Brown?) against Boyd did a super job - 5 shutout innings.

After talking with my son after the game, I have to agree with Bring it, our players showed poor sportmanship last night, including my son. Don't know why kids feel like they need to talk trash???

When my son told me what he said to BK, I told him that he should wear the pitch, run to first and keep his mouth shut!!! Unfortunately, the first pitch thrown at him, after his comment, was up around the globe. I don't want him wearing that pitch. I DO NOT THINK BK WAS THROWING AT THE HEAD. HE WAS FRUSTRATED, HE WAS GOING TO HIT SOMEBODY (GOOD OPPORTUNITY) AND THE BALL GOT SAILED.

Our game didn't end until 11:15pm!! I guess nobody called in the game. Early season overlook I guess. I don't know who actually calls in the score. I have never done it.
