Team DeMarini returned to Florida this past weekend and again made it to the Final Four in consecutive tournaments losing to the returning champions, the Chet Lemon's Juice team.

The 18U Juice defeated the highly competitive #5 seed All American Prospects Navy (Tampa, FL) and #10 seed Team DeMarini (Dallas, TX) in the semi-finals in order to get to the championship game. With over 25 different colleges and over 10 Major League Baseball Organizations in attendance, the tournament was a huge success.

Team DeMarini was one of the younger teams at this 18U event and went 5-2-1 to finish in third place. They also defeated the 2007 Team USA Jr Olympic Tournament Champions, Florida Pokers, twice. Once in pool play and again in the quarter finals.

Finishing in Third Place out of the 24 invited teams was an outstanding achievement.

Congratulations Team DeMarini 17U Team.

NewGuy,

You may be correct about the pro scouts not being able to "do anything with a dallas kid", however all the College scouts can do what they want. There were over 25+ colleges represented during the event and they were visibly working the tournament.

If you believe the pro scouts territory boundries could be an issue, perhaps the "dallas" pro scouts should pay closer attention to these players?

All I know is that the tournament was well run, well attended, provided good competition and had active scouts working the tournament. What more could you ask for?
