2008 WWBA Underclass World Championships in Ft.Myers Florida.

The All American Prospects Blue (2010) team dominate the field and break PerfectGame records with 6 shut out wins and 2 wins where they allowed only 1 run. In all they only allowed 2 runs the entire tournament.

Never has this feat been accomplished in the history of the WWBA Underclass.

Outstanding pitching , defense and hitting. The unbeliveble thing was that the 3 young catchers called every game themselves. Not a single pitch was ever called by ANY of the coaches. Not even in jams. Tyler Ross, Ryan Arrick and Eric Arce all called incredible games on their own. 39 straight scoreless innings!!!!

Nick Castellanos and Yordy Cabrera were hitting machines but it was a complete team effort by all of the players.
Today the Prospects shut out powerhouses Orlando Scorpions and East Cobb Astros as well as the New Jersey Super 17's.

I am convinced and the other scouts agree that no other team in Florida will have as many draftpicks in 2010 as the All American Prospects.

Tournament MVP was Yordy Cabrera (Lakeland High)
Offensive Award: Nick Castellanos (Archbishop McCarthy, Miami)
Pitching MVP: Austin Perez (Royal Palm Beach)

When all the dust settles and the draft of those players is complete, please let me know how the team does in the draft compared to the group of names below!!

I had a couple teams in the event in 2001 which featured the following (many of whom are current major leaguers), just to show you how these guys pan out with continued work ethic, dedication, commitment and luck!!

Scott Kazmir
Jarod Saltalamacchia
Billy Butler
Chad Billingsley
Jeff Allison (1st round pick of the Marlins, but, got sidetracked with drugs)
Jensen Lewis
Mike Pelfrey
Ryan Sweeney
Gio Gonzalez, among many others in the minor leagues today, soon to be major leaguers!!

...........and we lost in the Championship game to a team out of Miami!!

Keep me notified as this group was as strong as any team ever assembled

There is NO event equal to the WWBA Championships, BEST of luck to your guys !!
