Congratulations to Burkburnett Blacksox 17u-Black on winning the 2010 AABC Don Mattingly World Series.

The Blacksox defeated the Az Diamondbacks 6-4 in the championship game. Blake Burrus (WF Rider) garnered the W on the mound. Peyton Marett (Alpine HS)with the SV. Cameron Allen (Univ of New Mexico commit/WF Rider HS) blasted a solo HR in the top of the 1st, finished the championship game w/4 RBI's.

Cameron Allen was also named the MVP of the WS. For the week, Allen batted an amazing .595 w/3 HR's and 22 RBI's. He was also 2-0 on the mound w/20 K's and did not give up a run in 12 IP.

Yes, the bracket play game vs. Az Angels was a great game. The Angels tied it up 3-3 in the bottom of the 7th w/a 2 out single. Angels had bases loaded w/1 out in the bottom of the 8th, but we managed to get out of the jam. Blacksox had a pinch hit 2 RBI single in the top of the 9th that proved to be the game winner. Angels players, coaches and parents were very classy. Really good team.
