Congrats to Jordan Kidd, a 2009 graduate of WB, for being named Rookie of the Year for the USA South Conference. Kidd, an outfielder for Averett, batted .340 with 28 runs scored and 35 RBIs in 37 starts. He had 13 stolen bases, eight doubles, two triples and a home run, and defensively he had a 1.000 fielding percentage. Kidd was named the USA South Rookie of the Week twice this spring.

Zach Woods, Princess Anne High School graduate of the Class of 2006, pitched to his 6th win today for the Pirates as East Carolina beat the Marshall Herd today 11-4. Before I left the game in the 8th zach had gone through the 8th, I am trying to find out if he went complete or not. Anyways, congrats to Zach Woods, excellent way to bounce back from being beat up for 10 ER against Rice last friday.
