The bat you are looking at will not be legal for the 2012 season and beyond. Any non wood bat you purchase today will not be legal for play after January 1, 2012. I say that because as far as I know, there are no BBCOR rated bats on the market yet. The bat you are looking at is BESR rated and that rating will no longer be the standard the NCAA or the NFHS will use.
The bat will need to be stamped with the BBCOR label, just like todays bats must have the BESR rating.
