2012 High Schooler hit 100

I thought this was going to be a spoof on "High Schooler hits .700." By any chance would this be the son of Lance McCullers, former pitcher for the Padres?

That's him. Lucas Giolito, whose father is a member of HSBBW, has hit the 100 as well. I have seen Lance pitch, but never seen Lucas. Look forward to that day. Good luck to both!

Yes. It is his son. I've been following a local Orlando RHP who is supposed to be drafted near the top of the 1st round, Walker Weikel. Now I find out McCullers will probably be drafted above him. McCullers tossed 52.1 innings in the reg. season in a top league this year without giving up an earned run.

Weickel is a pitcher, McCullers more of a thrower. No doubt Weickel has faced tougherer competition this year.

They both have bright futures and will need to wear sunglasses.

I think Lucas Giolito hit 100 earlier this year.

What a coincidence...I also hit .100 when I was in high school!!!!

my sons team mate hit a little over 100 last spring. Unfortunately the state trooper with the radar gun wasn't impressed. he might get his license back in a year or so!

I took up miniature golf so I could break 100.

I was headed for hitting 100...batters in little league before my true talents at daisy picking were realized.

Lucas did hit a 100 a few times in an outing. I believe that game he was sitting 95-98 and was still hitting 97 in the 7th.

I believe Colt Griffin was the first high schooler to be lauded for throwing 100 back in 2001 but after being drafted, he was so wild and his command so poor that he never developed and was done pretty quickly at the pro level.

I bowled a 100 a few times.
