Decided to put this in General, rather than Going Pro because I thought more folks might notice it here. In another thread, Stats for Knats asked me about MLB Rules Book. Folks can google MILB Player Contract to get an idea of what a Rookie Contract is all about. There is only 1 negotiation point: The College Fund. Finally, seek guidance from a well qualified advisor/agent, if needed...& check his credentials with MLB list, talk to his clients before deciding...and former clients. If there is a bonus, plan to stretch over 4-7 yrs, and work in the off season.
