I have to think most, if not all, of those D3 transfers were seniors and are going to get Masters degrees. I see one listed from my sons (old) team that wasn't this year but last year, so the list is probably a little overstated.
It's almost over. Two more years. Current D3 Juniors (that didn't red shirt) have three years left of eligibility (not including the one they are playing, so 2 left after this year) and four years to play them. Current Sophomores are normal, currently playing second season with two more left and 3 years to play them. So once this Junior class works, though, D3 players won't have extra years of eligibility, and then lists like this will prob be 10% the size.
Pretty sure I have the cause and effect right here....
