22 Homeruns and is 13!!!

sounds like he's got some power. my son as a 12 yr old avg. 1 hr in every 8 at bats not sure what he ended the year with but it was in the teens

My advice is to allow the kid to enjoy today for today, but you should not jump to the conclusion that he's destined to be a HS star.

13 is an interesting age. You move to a bigger field, but so many of the pitchers don't have enough "stuff" to compete at the 60'6" distance. Some teams are still playing on short fields. And some players get to puberty earlier than the others and are just plain bigger and stronger than everyone else.

Time will even things out on both sides of this, I would wager.

But still, enjoy it now for what it is now. It's a game, it's supposed to be fun!

33 triples and 5 doubles in 84 ABs? That means that every hit the kid had was an extra base hit. And only 8 walks in those same 84 ABs? I don't doubt the kid can hit, but its physically impossible to have only extra base hits. And its probably pretty close to impossible for 13 year old pitchers to throw that many strikes on a consistent basis.

This harkens back to the dark ages when I was in LL and hit 12 HRS in 18 games and hit .548---BUT I was 5ft 6 and strong for a 12 year old and I did it with WOOD

Not taking anything away from the kid but I do not find it that amazing in this day of aluminum and short fences

As a favor I worked a Rec Game last night for a team whose left field was no more than 225 feet away from home plate...........9 HR's.........final score 21-0.

Short field, aluminum bats and BP pitching quality......

66 games and only 84 at bats? I would think that with 33 triples and 22 home runs, he would have a lot more walks than eight...

The kid is also 38-2 as a pitcher!

Then you click on the team and notice there aren't any games recorded. After you click on individual stats and see there are only stats on this kid. Next click on Manager and see his dad is the manager. I'm guessing junior knows the password to the team's USSSA site.

To me, BAILEY is a girl's name. Have never known or heard of a boy named Bailey. The plot thickens....

Also found another site page for the EC Stingers, and there is a player named Chance, same last name.

I'm guessing Bailey is the sister, havin' a little fun with the stats!

I know two Baileys who are male, one is the nephew of my sister in law. (Her family.)

i know one bailey. kind of smooth a little girly perhaps. but when you've had enough of him kicks like a mule.i know you've heard of him. he is from the kreem family, his middle name is eyerish.

This is too funny. Team stats only has one player's and the kid's father is the manager. LOL..If peeps want to get their kid noticed, they could be a bit more creative than that.
