Coppell 10
Allen 6

WP - Danny Malone
LP - Noah Morganti

Cody Brunk - AL -HR

5 of Allens run came in third inning after a miss played fly ball that turned into a double and another error in the field extended Allen's at bat. Cody Brunk took advantage of that situation and went yard for 3 RBI's. Coppel settled down and rallied from a 6-1 deficit. Allen's batters could mange much the rest of the way.

Unlike in last night's District loss to Creekview, Coppell's hitter took advantage of almost every chance they had to score runs. They rebounded nicely and are looking forward to resuming District play Tuesday against Hebron.

I heard Miles Hamblin had a huge day for Rowlett at the Ballpark in Rowlett's win over Flower Mound.

If he was the kid that hit the three run dinger then yes he did! This was my first opportunity to see either team live this year. Actually pretty good game on both teams part. If I were to project out several weeks to the playoffs...both teams should be there and make pretty good runs provided there are no major injuries. Appears FM needs to find a solid No. 2 to stay atop their District. I was told they barely escaped a loss by a team with less than stellar talent on Friday night. Rowlett is solid as well, like their s****** play. However....I predict a South Texas Champion in 5A in 2007! Teams from the South just have greater depth and passion than teams from this area. (MOO)

PD, today was the first time that I have seen PESH this year and the first time that I've seen your son since the MMWS. Very impressed with the way he carries himself. Plays SS very smooth and plays the ball very well. Swings the stick pretty good, too. Also impressed with #4 (Clayton, maybe???). That kid can hit anything that's thrown up there. I don't know how he hit some of those pitches. I had a pretty good seat for this one.
Texas Tech - 8
Baylor - 7

GREAT 10 Inning game in Waco

TBird dad and I enjoyed the company of FormerObserver, Diamond Darling, and Mrs. Baseballjunkie2 along with other friends and family members of all parties. Fun night if you were a Tech fan. FO and DD's boys were both difference makers in Tech's win. This website certainly lends itself to meeting outstanding families throughout the baseball community.

PD - Tell PDson congrats on going yard.
Thanks everyone for the kind words.

MMWS -- #4 is Clayton Farhat -- he had a very nice game. He jump-starts the offense and is having a great year.

Sounds like good times in Waco last night -- we went to the game last weekend against the Horns -- but were rooting for the home team. What a tough baseball conference, eh?

11sdad -- the Warriors keep rolling!

I hope your teams have great weeks. Smile

As much as I hated to see Rowlett lose I loved seeing all the former Garland Cubs that made an impact. Congrats to Daniel Fails for pitching the shutout, Sean Flaherety (sp?)for the 2-run HR & triple, Kyle hay got the loss but really did pitch a good game - just made one mistake, and Kegan Johnson did a good job behind the plate.

Once a Cub...Always a Cub!
