Dallas Christian 8
Mesquite 4

Freshaman Corey Brooks pitched 3 shutout innings then tired in the 4th and gave up 2. He should have gotten the win but Mesquite tied the
game at 4 all in the 6th inning. Then Brian Barina hit a bases loaded double for DC that cleared the bases in the bottom of the 6th. Soph. Aaron McCain pitche a scoreless 7th inning
First of all get the score right......SG 3 Rowlett 2. Were you even there or get a call from someone actually at the game?

Second, umpires didn't make the game close.....bonehead plays kept it close. Why is it always the biased umpires.......it's laughable. And you call yourself an adult....amazing.

One of these days someone will realize that a school is assigned umpires for a game, not request them.

This is a game.....not life and death.

Outsider thanks for your candid comments. I get tired of the comments taking accountibility away from the players and putting it on the officals. And we wonder why kids today don't take accountibility, its always someone else's fault.
Northwest - 4
Keller Central - 3

Enjoyable, but nerve-racking district opener for both teams. Was impressed with Central given they have only played a couple years of varsity ball.

Northwest was sloppy in the field and hit enough to win, but will need stronger hitting and tighter defense to continue being competitive in the district. Well pitched game by Varner.

Some close calls, but a well-officiated game. Officials calls had absolutely no bearing on the game's outcome. Big Grin

Both scores were correct.

19 on Frisco Centennial, (forgive me, I did check his name, but it escapes me, at the moment, can throw.

They are solid.

And what Dad wouldn't dream of one, some ever, and there were two..............in one day by each son on my father's birthday.

Can't get to work fast enough to get the work done fast enough to get to the game fast enough to get an update on everyone fast enough.

To get on the road fast enough to get to the game...............

The college game updates are quick good or bad, makes the high school reporting seem sanil pace.

Shhhh -- we're flying under the radar, remember? Think anyone will think 92 pitches is absurd?

In an earlier post of mine, I talked about a kid throwing over 100 pitches on March 2nd. I later found out that he threw 106 pitches in that game and then was the starting CF the next day, throwing even more. Talk about absurd. That coach should have his head examined!
