Great pitched game all around. Parten and Jans had hitters off balance all night. Its fun to watch two good pitchers battle it out. Offenses werent too loud. Jans held Wildcats to 6 hits while Parten held Jesuit to only 2. Its hard to win with only 2. Altobelli is very good behind the plate. Anyone tell me why Shortall didnt play? Hurt?

Anyways great game on the mound by both sides.

It's a 4/8 score, but a great game.

Prestonwood beat Bishop Lynch 7-6. Travis King threw a great game to get the win over Beck (who threw 3 innings, I think). BL out hit the Lions 10-4, but Prestonwood jumped out early and controlled the game until a late comeback attempt was shut down by a clutch save by Kris Gardner. Beck and Twichell hit bombs that I think are still going.

2B's Martin; Walker, Ragira, Slocum, Kensing
3B; Ragira
HR; Slocum

2B's Lamar; Arnsberg, Lewis

Martin is now 5-1 in district and Lamar drops to 4-2

Rizotti pitched a CG 2 hit shutout. He actually had a no hitter until the last inning when Arnsberg hit a double in the bottom of the 7th.

Looks like Martin is starting to hit their stride. They still have 3 tough non-conference games left again Coppell next Saturday and a double header against Plano West at Air Hog stadium on the 25th.

I saw that Mansfield lost to Arlington High and that Lane kid pitched. I wonder if the 130 plus pitches last Tuesday against Martin affected him at all. I thought it might affect Rizotti but he actually pitched better.
Arl Bowie 5 9 2
Arl Martin 9 12 2

Bowie Pit: Jeremy Welsh, Ivan DeLeon (5)
Martin Pit: Tyler Wilhelm, Stewart Person (4), Dylan Rucker (7)

WP: Tyler Wilhelm (5-2)
LP: Jeremy Welsh

2B: Ryan Brown, Ivan DeLeon Trevor Slocum, Daniel Garcia, Trey Kensing
3B:
HR: Jay Hiller, Daniel Garcia

Martin is now 6-1 in distrist tied with Mansfield. I didn't see this game since I had 3 sand volleyball games last night. I heard Stew pitched 3.1 innings, 3h, 3UR, 2BB, 4K....not too bad for not pitching since 1.5 weeks ago.
