Allegedly the Culpeper Field was too "wet" to have a game???

Apparently KG's field was too wet as well.   We have had a "wet/snowy" winter and spring so it doesn't take much to make the fields unplayable.

so today we got: KG vs Chancellor

Tomorrow: Fauquier vs courtland

friday:

EV vs Liberty

fauquier vs brentsville

Saturday KG vs Spotsy?

I think this is correct as far as CONFERENCE RECORDS so far:

2-0         ..Liberty

2-1         ..King George

1-0         ..Fauquier

1-1         ..Chancellor

1-2         ..Eastern View

Lane Ward pitches 2nd no hitter in KG's 10-0 win over Chancellor:

Ward’s no-hitter leads Foxes

King George pitcher Lane Ward recorded the Foxes’ second straight no-hitter in their 10–0 Conference 22 home win over Chancellor on Wednesday.

Ward struck out five, allowed one walk and he hit one batter.

King George was coming off of Hunter Tolliver’s no-hitter against James Monroe last Friday.

Michael Hundley led the King George (5–1, 3–1 Conference 22) offense with three hits, two runs scored and an RBI. Cody Bell, Drew Berry and Trevor Lyburn added two hits each. Lyburn and Berry had two RBIs, as well.

The Foxes visit Spotsylvania Friday.

Not sure where good competition comes in, but Robert E Lee up until the tourney was 1-5 and now are 2-7 after beating Liberty and losing to Kettle Run. Parkview right now at best is 1-4. Briar Woods before the tourney was 2-3. I will give you that Briar Woods and and Mt View are traditionally good programs. However, I'm not sure where 5A always equals good competition. It sounds like Liberty was on a roll until they faced a quality pitcher from Eastern View. As a homer it's good to finally see the EV Liberty game count for something and to have EV not chalk it up as an opportunity for experience and playing time.
