Great job NW. First playoff game in 21 years. Awesome. Good luck against SS. They are pretty good from what I've heard. I like the venue for the next round!! I threw a few innings in my day on that mound!!

Al Alford's field is a good place to play but I hope I don't get to make any of the games 'cause we play at the same time and don't need the Saturday game.

Don't know if North's pairing been set yet. but Maybe the times will work out.

Arlington Seguin gets first ever playoff win in baseball by shutting out Ft Worth South Hills 4-0 behind the 5 hit 9 k performance of Tyler Lewis. The Cougars were lead offensively by Scott Hensley with 2 hits and 2 runs, Jarad Elston 2 hits and 2 rbi's and Juan Angulo 1 hit and a rbi.

Game 2 tonight @ South Hills 7pm

Game 3 Saturday @ South Hills 1 pm (if necessary)

Wylie lost game 1 in Tyler to Texarkana last night from what I heard. 1-0 in 12 innings.

Game 2 (&3) will be Saturday, 1:00, at UT-Tyler.

Thanks to all for the congrats, but the kids have earned it. They seem to want to keep this thing going, now that they finally got here.

Don't they know summer ball is more important?

Besides, this season has already cost me a new bat for T-Bird kid that had a price tag that resembles a car payment.

I can't help you, T-Bird Dad. However, I did hear my husband say last night when our son hit, "Does that bat sound dead to you?"

That's the advantage of having a son that only pitches.............no bat expense.

The bat matters -- its size does not!

We're considering an investment in the new Plasma. I need to skip lunch for a month and a half -- hmmm, that's not entirely a bad thing.

My bat and mitt expense has been cut in half.

Thanks and I understand completely. I have nothing be admiration for the Spruce kids and coaches...handled themselves with class the entire game.

The numbers game is not giving them much of a chance, but those boys should walk off the field proud of how they play. Coaches too, for how they have taught those boys the right approach and attitude.

That is good to hear. No doubt that was a mismatch going in. Glad to see that it did not get "messy."

Not messy at all, both coaches handled it well. All players played through it.

Sorry, sky, I know how that is and I hope he didn't already lighten your paycheck, but it is his BD present a little early.

By the way, tell young sky thanks for the use of his shades yesterday for young T-Bird. He forgot his (But he seemed to be able to find his new bat...hummmm)

No problem, I am glad he had his shade to share.
And the bat will still have to wait awhile-unless I win the lottery of course.
