Anyone know the health of the SGP pitchers? I read the 4/26 DMN article, "Carpenter, a right-hander who was the team's ace last season, was diagnosed with a stress fracture in his pitching elbow at the beginning of the season. He has pitched only 7 1/3 innings, but his doctor has cleared him to resume his regular workload during the playoffs.
Simon stepped up to become South Grand Prairie's ace while Carpenter recovered. But Simon chipped a bone in his left index finger two weeks ago, and doctors said he can't pitch until May 19."

That's too bad. I know, Simon, the lefty, is very strong. It sounds like if both Carpenter and Simon can go this is a formidable tandem.
Colleyville ended up run ruling SGP tonight 13-2. DeLeo pitched for Heritage giving up two runs off four hits in five innings and only threw around 65 pitches. I don't remember the kids name that started for SGP (# 10) but he was pulled and others came in. Heritage just had one of those nights...

DeLeo 2-3 two singles and a walk
Russel 2-4 two doubles
Aycoth 2-4 single and a double
and many more...

Hopefully Heritage will pull threw with another big win and get ready to play the 5a power house Martin.
This from another discussion. Just brought it over. Thanks for update, Vanlandingham.

Went to watch Colleyville and South Grand Prairie. I have not heard much talk about Colt Simon from SGP. This guy can go. 2 hit shut out against one of the best lineups around. Where does this kid play in the summer? I hear he signed at UTA. Had to be 88-90 all night and threw curve ball for strike when he wanted to.
