Before I developed the Area Code games in 1987, I interview the Northern California Pro Scouts to learn of their opinion. One scout was very interesting Charlie Silvera. The other scouts would tease Charlie. "You have 6 World Series rings and one AB". Of course Yogi was #1 catcher.

I would ask Charlie about  Ted Williams.

When Charlie was warming up the Yankee's starting pitcher in the bullpen 350' away from Red Sox dugout, they could "feel" Williams eyes- watching intently for the starting pitcher release point and control of his pitches. "Reduce the pitcher's pitches that are strikes".
