Is that your game speed when you're trying to throw to locations or is that your maximum speed when throwing for a gun? I'm just guessing that it is your max speed in which case you probably throw about 76-77 in games which is good but not spectacular for a sophmore. Normal improvement would result in your throwing fairly hard as a junior and senior.

Don't get too caught up in the numbers. The most important thing as a pitcher, is are you able to get hitters out consistently, thereby giving your team an opportunity to win when you are on the mound.

Not everyone is blessed with an arm that will produce 90 mph fastballs. Use your God given talents, work really hard on mechanics, location, breaking ball and change up. There are many pitchers who win consistently in MLB that never break 90 even at max velocity. Than again there are many who routinely bust mid-ninties and get lite up.

With hard work, good instruction and dedication you never know where you my end up.

Good luck
i agree with rsctt83 getting outs and wins for your team is the most important thing ppl look for.
my older brother only threw 79-80 in high school and he still signed a d1 scholarship, because his era was 0.91 and he had good stuff. but keep working hard arm strength will come as you mature. and good things will come your way if you continue to work hard
