my oldest is a senior and had a UCL repair over the summer, he'll miss the first 2 series this year, he could have potentially redshirted and played somewhere another season. He'll only be 21 at the end of this season, but he wants to be done with school for now. Plus he's exhausted athletic aid I think, and I'm not paying for him to play another year, and he's not taking on debt to do it.....

If you're older, have eligibility, can hang, have the desire to play and the coach thinks you can help the team - why not play?  At 60 I don't think I'm going to use my juco eligibility, but some of us had to work for food and a roof over our heads as teens - why would starting late for someone it that position be a problem?

This site is all about baseball and typically teens to college, but one of the other great things about community colleges is that they are for the community, even the outliers and us old people - lol!
