We had 112 local 15 and 16U ballplayers participate in the morning session of the MSL League at Craig Ranch yesterday. Please see the below game capsules:
On field 8, it appears that the Royals defeated the Pirates. Collin Sherrod and Colby Carpenter were nominated as players of the game for the Royals with Mike Speanburg and Taylor Empkey being chosen as players of the game for the Pirates.
On field 9, Rick's Reds defeated the O's. Players of the game for the red legs were Hunter Haley and Alex Phillips. For the O's it was Tanner Divinney and Trevor Renfro.
On field 7, a pitchers duel with some great defensive play took place with a 1-1 tie between the Jays and the swingin A's. For the Jays, Matthew Farris and Conner Fikes were elected as players of the game. For the A's, Hunter Ladd and Alec Landers took home the POG award.
On the "sunny" field the Rockies hooked the Marlins. POGS for the Marlins and Rocks were Brandon Koch, Zach Hardy, Seth Jones and Trevor Podsednik.
