College Parent forever:

Today, after two days of rain at Santa Rosa JC the game with DVC will be played because of the turf field. A large group of pro scouts will make an appearance, since many other games are "rained" out and the SRJC field is playable.

POINTS TO CONSIDER

The field, the strength of the program, the distance to the fences, the coaching, his contacts to 4 year schools ans summer programs all are important factors.

My son's JC team played in a pretty good So Cal JC league and came in second to last in their division, yet two players were drafted, and the other starters all played D1 or D2 baseball somewhere else.

Having said that, its still important to play for a coach that you think will help you get to the next level.

I might add that the league my son played in, the opposing coaches were also looking out for their D1/D2 and proscout buddies.  My son had several referrals from opposing coaches.
