I haven't read the book, but I heard a long form interview with Fatsis on NPR Weekend Edition a few weeks back.
Fatsis didn't just go out there and try to kick, he trained hard for many months.
For all of you, like me, who have won a few games, made a few shots, made a big catch or two and imagined ourselves more skilled that we are, Fatsis seems to act as our agent.
