One of most entertaining MLB radio announcers of all time will have heart surgery on Friday. A good word is in order for a great human being.

Ditto here in Virginia. NPR reported the recovery time would be 2-3 months so this is not a little thing. It still cracks me up when I repeatedly hear game announcers mimic Uecker ("Jusssssst a bit outside"), when he was actually mimicing them. One of the funniest guys I've ever seen. May God bless him and his doctors.
