Since I've had some long reads of late, I'll keep this one short......
As he was 15 year old, I saw a kid beyond his years on the baseball field.
I was lucky enough to coach him soon there after.
Over the years he has become part of my family.
Watching him play a catch with my son for the first time was a special moment.
From El Paso, he was the first one in his family to graduate high school.
He recieved athletic scholarships to play junior college and division 1 baseball.
I have had the opportunity to experience a boy become a man.
Today this man, the boy I met years ago, recieves his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice.
Thank you baseball, for allowing things like this.
