i am a big kid who can really make good contact, but i'm looking for home run power, i have the strength to hit the ball far but not far enough, i do lift regularly but haven't seen an increase of power due to it. Should i find a new workout, or just concentrate on my swing?

Start doing lunges with dumbbells in your hands. Also start doing some lunges with a twist (step forward and twist toward your lead leg) for more of a balance lunge. Bench press is fine as long as your elbows do not go below 90. Anterior Reaches would be great for you being that your a pitcher. Stand on one foot and lean forward bending at the waist keeping your knee slightly bent. Touch the ground directly in front of you. It will feel real awkard, but its a great balance drill while strengthing your leg assistant muscles. Lat pulldowns and seated rows are good for the upper back. Step ups are good exercises for your upper hamstrings. There are a few exercises. Give them a shot and let me know how things go and if things go well I can give you a few more examples. The last part will come from your hitting coach developing sound swinging technique to bring out your best swing.
