That does get you misty eyed for him and, for us, as we consider the dreams of our boys!

Thanks for posting it!!!!! What a classy organization, the Dodgers! I don't consider the "McCourts" as a real part of what had been ,prior to their arrival, a tremendous franchise.

Hope he made/makes the best of his opportunity...

I am surprised the young man did not get more emotional when he got the news but a fine story nonetheless.

That may be emotional for him. He comes across as a very respectful young man and I suspect he was more elated on the inside. That is the way it should be for a man in my view, then again I was raised old school.

I hope he makes the most of this accomplishment.
Lindsey was set to PH for the pitcher the first night he was in uniform versus the Padres on Wednesday night. He was actually announced over the PA, and Bud Black countered with a RHP. Torre ended up sending Ethier up to PH instead. Lindsey had a great attitude, and his teammates picked him up in the dugout. I see in the box scores that he received one AB Thursday. I hope he gets a few more opportunities before this season is over. It's nice to see good guys get a chance!
