No, he opted out of that contract, and signed a new long term contract with the Yankees.

I thought I heard the TV crew say this was the first time ever a player (Arod) was being paid by both teams. In fact, come to think of it, he was a debtor in the Rangers bankruptcy case...so I'm sure the Rangers are still paying him.

Texas is no longer paying Arod.
