Tomorrow...It will be the first time in 19 years that my son and I have not been together on his birthday. I am really feeling melancholy about all this...getting older and growing up stuff...I miss my little boy...I pulled out all the old home movies last nite and cried myself silly as I watched him and my little girl being silly, happy ,carefree little kids...Where have all the years gone? And so quickly,at that...Oh well, life goes on, doesn't it...

Duke's Mom ...

We feel your pain (to borrow an expression from a famous politician) ... I honestly think being away from them on their birthdays is harder than missing them on holidays ...

And I agree ... time goes by too quickly and then they are grown.

If there are any moms here who haven't sent one off to school yet ... hug them and tell them you love them and sneak into their rooms at night and just watch them. Pretty soon, they are all grown up ...

I know exactly how your feeling. Just about the time I think I'm over this missing thing... My son calls and says he misses sleeping in his BIG bed and seeing his dog. Frown He seems bummed out right now. I know when baseball starts he will be better. He won't have time to think about missing anything and I will feel better when he is better. Wink

Glad to see I'm not the only lonely heart here. Frown

My son's B-Day is coming up next week. It's a big one, not only because he's turning 18, but because I know it will be his last one at home for years to come. Very Sad!

Duke's Mom,
Here's a Cyber Hug.......celebrate the day anyway!

Highlander mom...I will hug mine today! Thanks for the reminder...

Goodness, I hadn't thought about his dog, when BK takes a shower, Cassie (his mut) sits outside the door and cries now... Smile

Cindy,

That report doesn't surprise me at all! Big Grin

Sorry you couldn't be there but there will be many, many more results like this that you will be able to see in person.

I'm lucky as Ryan's 19th birthday is Friday, March 26 and we will be in Norman for a weekend series against Baylor that weekend so we will get to help him celebrate. I know it won't always work out that way from now on so I'm going to really enjoy it this year.

Tell John Wayne that we said Hello and to keep up the great play! laola
