Hey, I'm going through a small slump, two hits, 15 ABs, over 5 games. Now I saw some videos of my game swings, and I see that on like every pitch, I am actually opening up my right foot (i am a righty). Truth is, I'm not so far off the ball, and I hit a few hard, and I've had bad as to where the ball has gone, but should i be fixing this foot problem?

My foot should really be closed if anything, right?

thanks for your help. I know 15 ABs is nothing, but the problem could get worse, and i want to prevent it.
Baseball, it is said, is only a game. True. And the Grand Canyon is just a hole in Arizona. -George F. Will

Not sure what you mean by "opening your right foot" can you elaborate?
Yea, upstate hit it on the nail, I am stepping towards 3rd. I just saw a video, and I start with an open stance and as the pitcher releases, I step in, closing my stance ever so slightly, and right before my swing I open up again...

I guess I'll try the no step approach, but I just think its such a weird problem...Thanks for the help...

Okay! You said right foot, but meant left foot. The no step will fix the problem, but if you are more comfortable stepping, just shorten your stride some by starting spread out about 4" shorter than your bat on your front toe with your toe closed pointing to the firstbase side on deck cirlce. When you stride (just 6" or so), just turn your toe towards the second baseman, drop your heel and go! Your heel shouldn't move towards the pitcher much at all only the toe should be moving much.

My friend did this to help stop the same problem and this method works very well also. Two different approaches to solve the same problem and both work.
