We are thinking about putting a 17U team together with the hopes of making it to and winning the AABC 17U Don Mattingly World Series. I would appreciate any feedback, good or bad, from anyone who participated in it last summer in New Jersey.

Mr. Twombley. Last years AABC Don Mattingly 17U tournamnet was as well organized and hosted as any I've ever had the pleasure of attending. The competition was very good. The entire town of Flemington, NJ got behind the event and the host facilities were nothing short of phenominal. Host families were provided. Activities for the players occurred daily. The organizers hosted a HR derby. Corporate sponsors were announced daily and threw out the first pitch. It really took on a "World Series" fell right down to the red, white and blue bunting that adorned the field.

I would highly recommend you earn yourself a berth this Summer. It was one of the highlights of our summer in 2006. FYI, the host facility was the Jack Cust Baseball Academy at Healthquest Park. If you visit their website it has a media account of every game played in last season's tourney complete with BOX SCORES! The website is jackcustbaseball.com Click on the Mattingly World series icon.
