Is anyone familiar with this AAYBA organization ? Have you heard of this event ?
An educated man went to visit a Zen master. He wished to learn what the Zen master knew. The master invited him in for tea and listened as his visitor told of his outstanding education. As the visitor talked on and on about his long and valuable education, the Zen master began pouring more tea for the man, until his cup was overflowing and the tea was spilling onto the man and onto the floor. “Stop,” the man said, “My cup is already too full; it cannot hold anymore.” “Yes,” said the Zen Master.

I too have not heard of this program, it must be new, however I have a very different view of the AAYBA organization.

My teams played in their tournaments for several years and not once did we ever walk away with a negative experince. Some of our teams did well and some not so well ... but all left happy.

I have been around the block and been to most all major tournaments throughout the country represented by many different National organizations, and while I will not knock any that I wasn't happy with I assure you that at least from my experiences in St Louis, they were among the best we ever played in. Well organized and they always went the extra mile for us.

So my recommendation is different than that of seedthrower - I would recommend AAYBA to any team looking for a tournament for their pre-high school age teams.
