It is absolutely fair!!!! No if and or buts. The student-athlete is usually left out in the wind ******* air from the other upper echcelon students who have it made-in-the-shade with all kinds of other financial support. The athletes are the one's who get shipped out if a coach doesn't want them any more or have to drop out because their work load for athletics is so demanding that they have very little time to even wink at a tutor. Take Illinois golf for example,,,they require all this extra time just for community service,,,now balance that with a full class-load, a full-on athletic schedule (practices, off-season matches, etc, etc.) It is ridiculous. SO IF THEY WANT TO PUT SOME BIG-TIME MONEY INTO THE UNIVERSITIES FOR THE ATHLETES, MORE POWER TO THEM!!!!!!
