Substantiate this!

READ....SOS (strenghth of schedule).

Good grief!

My point from the get go!

and...your response was to put up a partial sos..(non conference schedule)...which was,in a word......WEAK!

Comprehension is a wonderful thing.

Comprehension is a beautiful thing....now go back and see who exactly posted the SoS numbers. After 1979 posts, I would expect better.

Beezer....Pullllleeeeeezzzzee go to ......[warrennolan.com]

and.......read what has been posted.

You were wrong about Stanford.

Your SoS (non-conf) is of zero value.

Maybe its the California school system but you certainly don't seem to grasp the difference between complete and incomplete stats.

Again, only 3 west coast teams are in the top 30 in OVERALL SoS.

Your teams, argument and style are WEAK!
Sorry soxnole, I'm STILL not the person who posted the SoS numbers. I was merely pointing out that they were on the west coast and that the west coast teams performed better than the ACC.

Do you ever actually READ what other people post or do you just make blanket statements and get all riled up when somebody dares to question them? You may find my argument weak but at least I've made a few points along the way. I'm still waiting for you to bring something to the table.

So is your entire "ACC Domination" argument based on SoS? It seems like that's your whole point since you keep bringing it up. What exactly does somebody get for having the best SoS? I think if I was a player, I'd much rather win the CWS than have the best SoS. And tell me soxnole, if the SoS is such a big deal as I guess you're saying, then why aren't Auburn (#2), Alabama (#3), Texas (#4), NC State (#7), USC (#8) and UCLA (#9) still in it? And why are we stuck watching such weak teams as Oregon State (#86), UNC (#45) and CSF (#35)? Let me give you a hint....the SoS doesn't really mean diddly.

You can hang your laurels on the SoS if you want. Personally, I'd rather watch them play it out and see who wins it all.
Beezer..

Happy Dad's day.

Sorry about my error and the crack about the school system (should have said Florida).

Still think the ACC is (was) awfully strong this year.

My CWS pick after Clemson was Cal St. Fullerton...NC actually outplayed and outpitched them...barely.

SoS is just 1 factor but weak confrences SHOULD step up thier scheduling. Can you say "Notre Dame"?

Go ACC!
What I saw was a squeeze coming and the runner broke too early not waiting to make sure the pitcher was going home first. You can see on the replay the batters hands dropping on the bat as the pitcher lifted and the runner broke as soon as he lifted. Remember a rh move to third is the same as a lh move to first. Absolutely no balk here at all. It was a simple lift and throw move to third. A great game that had it all by both teams. Each team had chances and anyone could have won it. Im glad the heels did win it but it was a heck of a game. Like gamer said who cares about conferences and areas of players etc. Its a game and its great fun and I love to watch it regardless of where the kids are from. People do need to realize though that the kids Cali Texas Florida are not alone in their ability to play the game. There is great baseball all across the country and from every region. Who cares though lets just enjoy the sport.
Yes I agree with you. I have always said that most lh pitchers balk when they throw over to try to pick it just isnt called. A 45% angle but who is really checking? It technically could have been a balk but it is hardly ever called. I always tell kids MAKE SURE you see him going home before taking your secondary lead because the balk is rarely if ever called for a lh to first just like a rh to third.
No TR, I didn't forget how well the Beavers did last year. I just couldn't resist pointing out on a thread called "ACC Domination" how a Pac 10 team is still in it.

The teams out here in the west pretty much got hosed when the regionals were set up, so if they had been spread out among more regionals, like the ACC teams were, I imagine OSU might not be the only western team still playing.

No intention of knocking the ACC or any other great conference, but the teams out here are every bit as good, at least in the eyes of many who live west of the Mississippi.
UNC has a great shot to win it all, which would help support soxnole's original statement. And it would be great to see a fellow HSBBW's son as part of that. But it does seem like the ACC & SEC teams had a much better shot advancing as they were sprinkled throughout 11 of the 16 regionals.

My son would LOVE to see UNC win it all (he's a big Josh Horton fan) but I think it's neat to see the schools like CSF and Rice in it who aren't even a blip on the radar in other sports nationally.
All the teams in it are great teams. You could play it again next week and probaly have two totally different teams in the finals. The games have been very competitive and a clutch hit here or a great pitch there have decided most of the games. In my opinion the best four teams are left. No offense to any of the teams eliminated because they are all very very good. Its anyones tourney to win right now. Bard needs to have his A game today or CSF will force another game. OSU is very dangerous and I think they will push Rice to another game and may just take them. I would not be surprised if any of the four teams won this thing. There is no dominant team in Omaha this year. They are all very even in my opinion. Its whoever gets the big hits and make the plays in the field.

It has been a bit "flukey" this year. Makes for some very interesting viewing though!

You know who I thought would make more noise? Georgia. I thought they looked pretty strong in the games of theirs I saw. But like others have said, just getting there is a huge accomplishment in it's own right.
Beez:

Poker tourney...you don't like watching the action packed tourneys?

C'mon...how can you live without the gripping Texas Grab 'Em and the swirling Right Sided 1.8 gal. Double Flushouts. And then there's your flour covered Baker's Dozen along with the incredible Inside Straight with the One Eyed Jack being too High. Trump du jour and Tyler too!

Wow...what I'm missing without cable!

Any eights? Nope ...Go Fish.

Poker is...!
