What happened before this? What made the manager so angry? He must have been a comedian in an earlier life!!!!

I have lost all respect for the Cubbies this post season. Viewed Pinella's uselessness with the Devil Rays and tho I love the water commercial, am not impressed with his antics. They are old and used up. Then Lilly, following Zambrano and Pinella's lead, acts like a spoiled brat on the mound. I do remember viewing this in little league, and it wasn't acceptable then either. Then, to top it off, last night, the at bat of Mark DeRosa made me wonder how they even got here. Bases loaded, one out after Hernandez had walked the previous 2 batters, 3-1 count, stands on their feet and the bonehead "swings", if you can call it that like it was the first time he had ever picked up a bat and hits into a double play. Tho it was only the seventh inning...Game Over!

The cubs are a futile enterprise.

Dusty took a fair team within inches of the World series.

Sweet Lou took the 12th best team in baseball to the playoffs.

I look at it this way....

The cubbie fans get to have a 100th anniversary in 2008!
