In layman's terms: my son had two muscles in his shoulder that were "stuck" together after a few years of small tears. The scar tissue had built up. When he threw, instead of the muscle sliding over each other as it should, the muscle stuck together, pulling the bottom muscle with it. The chiropractor basically pushed his fingers and thumb through the middle of the two muscles to free them from each other. At that point the body took over and healed itself. That's a simple explanation but accurate. It's worked. I am a believer now.
Thanks for the responses. The chiro thinks he has an adhesion on the biceps tendon, brachialis muscle. Does this make sense? His soreness is right on the tendon in the crook of his elbow. Does not have pain on acceleration but after throw is completed. This is not where one would normally feel ucl pain is it? Please let me know what you all think. Thanks again.
