No outs, runner on third (R3), ground ball to ss, he bounces throw to first baseman, ball rolls over first baseman's head & b/r, after touching first base, actually grabs the ball while it was still in the air.
We left b/r at first & returned R3, who scored from third.
How close to correct were we?

Yo were probably OK with what you did but the BR is an idiot. If the defense didn't complain then it's fine. I would be inclined to bang the runner at third.

MST - got a question about this one.

It would seem to me that you would call the runner at first out and return the third. Why would you do the opposite?
